Plan a Visit
It is a privilege to have you worship with us!
We hope your faith will be strengthened and your interest in God’s Word will grow as a result of your time with us. Our ministry focus is simple. We aim to know God and grow spiritually. We do this through practical Bible teaching, contemporary worship and creating a host of opportunities for significant and supportive relationships. Making disciples in a healthy church environment is our mission – we invite you to join us.
We want you to feel comfortable when you visit us so below are some questions that you may have as you plan your visit. Don’t hesitate to contact us or visit the Welcome Center in the Plaza when you visit.
North Coast Church has multiple campuses located in North San Diego County. Each campus has its own outstanding worship and a full children’s and youth ministry for nursery through high school. The campuses also share the same weekend teaching and sermon.
In addition to the campuses, there are small gatherings nationwide where you can experience church in a small setting. If you are looking for a small gathering or group in your area, email us at info@northcoastchurch.com.
All of our worship services have a casual and informal atmosphere. The worship and music style varies depending upon the campus and the venue you choose.
Worship at all of our campuses is upbeat and contemporary, led by a worship band.
Some of the campuses also offers a wide variety of music styles from rock and roll, to country, to traditional hymns, to gospel, and more, all depending on the venue you choose.
All campuses and venues share in the same weekend sermon delivered by either Larry Osborne or Chris Brown. The message is broadcast on a huge video screen (think movie theatre) or in-person in the LIVE venue on the Vista Campus three times Sunday morning.
Come as you are. We are a casual church. You will find a range of dress styles from jeans and t-shirts, to shorts and flip-flops, to an occasional sport jacket and dress. So come dressed however you are comfortable and you will fit right in.
If you own a Bible you will want to bring it. Our pastors don’t preach sermons as much as they simply teach the Bible. They will refer to it often – and even encourage you to mark it up as your life-textbook. If you don’t have one, just ask one of the hosts or ushers, we have plenty set aside to borrow until you get one of your own.
Our pastors teach from what is known as the New International Version Bible (NIV). If you have another version you are used to or prefer, bring it along. The differences from version to version are mostly minor. Having an NIV will simply make it easier to follow along when our pastors read or point out the wording in a particular verse or passage.
The answer is, “Yes”, no matter what campus you visit. Our campuses have coffee and tea stations set up outside of the venues. You can grab a cup of coffee, tea or water and head into the service.
Children’s and youth programs are available at all campuses.
We love kids! Our trained team of background checked volunteers help teach kids about Jesus and how much He loves them each week. The children’s ministry team, Coast Kids, will have you register your kids, ages infants – 5th grade, when you arrive. A label for you and a label for each child with a matching security code will be printed. You will need this label to pick your child up at the end of service. If your child needs you for any reason during the service, a member of the Coast Kids team will text you or come find you.
If you have an infant and you are not comfortable using the nursery, the Family Room is available on the Vista Campus, and video monitors in the foyer of our other campuses. You are welcome to watch the service from there with your child.
Once you arrive at one of our campuses, look for the Welcome Center – they are located near the entrances. The booths are staffed with knowledgeable volunteers. They will be more than happy to answer questions, help you find the right classrooms for your children and even escort you to where you need to go.
All campus parking lots include plenty of handicap parking spaces and all venues are wheelchair accessible.
The Vista Campus has shuttles that will pick you up in the handicap and senior parking area and drop you right off in front of the venue of your choice.
The Vista Campus has a “Buddy Program” for children with special needs during the Saturday evening service and Sunday morning services (please note, requires a reservation). There is also a reserved classroom Sunday 11am service at the Vista Campus just for special needs kids, led by a special need trained teacher.
The San Marcos/Escondido Campus offers closed captioning option on Sundays in the chapel venue at 9am & 5pm.
We’d love to meet you! Welcome events are designed for those who have recently discovered North Coast Church. Come to learn more about who we are, ask any questions you have, and spend time with our pastors and staff.
