Thank You, North Coast!

The 2023 Serve Your City’s impact has set new records. Not only were local communities served in the United States but the church even pitched in around the globe. Look what happens when you became the hands and feet of Jesus!

North Coast has a long history of serving in the local community starting with the first Weekend of Service in 2007.  About every 1-2 years, the church has designated a weekend where in-person services are cancelled and the church leaves the building to become the hands and feet of Jesus to the local community. Weekend of Service eventually evolved into Serve Your City.

Serve Your City is a church-wide, three-week serving campaign focused on serving our local communities in three different ways:
Giving, Serving, and Loving.

PROJECTS AROUND THE GLOBE

Groups connected to North Coast Church completed their own projects in their local communities. Countries served were Ukraine, Ecuador, Mexico, Turkey and Czech Republic.

CZECH REPUBLIC
Trash was picked up in the forest of the village Chotěbuz and along the freeway right next to the village.

UKRAINE
The area around three artificial lakes were cleaned up so the local community in the area can relax and spend time swimming.  It is a favorite area for the children.  The group has also made the commitment to continue to maintain the area through the summer.

MEXICO
A local orphanage was served by spreading rock in their area and providing lunch.

ECUADOR
The local church cleaned up areas around the community and ministered to the poor.

TURKEY
An empty run down lot was cleaned up and made into a little mini park where people can come sit, read and escape the busy city. Chairs and tables were added so people can bring their coffee and enjoy the outdoors. This has resulted in a more friendly and peaceful area for the nearby families to enjoy since they have very little green space.

YOU DID IT!

WOW, we are amazed and so grateful for all that was accomplished.  Serve Your City is a biannual event so we will be able to do this again though it is hard to imagine how we can top 2023!

If you are looking for more ways to serve your community, we have opportunities year-round.
